The motif is the visual representation of your theme, which is created by the use of objects or symbols. If you use a "Baseball" theme incorporate the use of Diamonds to represent the baseball diamond and Pearls to represent the baseball. These symbols may be repeated on your invitations, guest book & pen, ring pillow, flower girl basket, toasting glasses, programs, plates, and decorations.

A baseball theme may also suggest tickets, bats, mitt, helmet, uniform, cleats, peanuts, Cracker Jacks, popcorn, hot dogs, lemonade, Coke in classic bottles, vintage, baseball cards, vendors, Take Me Out To The Ballgame, Root, Root, Root, Ballpark...

Locations:

In Houston the ideal place for your baseball theme wedding is Minute Maid Park, it combines the feel of an classic old-time park with the amenities of modern ones with a number of venues to accommodate 100 to 800 guests or more.

Colors:

We would suggest that you use white and ivory or bronze and blush for your colors. Or you may want to use the colors of your favorite team.

We have had a few brides that want to go all out with this theme, choosing to have there wedding ceremony on a baseball diamond, preacher standing on the pitcher's mound, bridesmaids on the third base line and groomsmen on the first base line. The groom waiting at home plate, and when the bride comes out they walked up to the pitcher's mound together.

If the wedding ceremony will take place outside hang pomanders (kissing balls) of white & ivory carnation down from a wedding arch & trees. Tie flower orbs of white & ivory carnation to chairs.

Programs done with baseball wording.. like The Starting Lineup for the bridal party and a head shot of each party member with there vital stats.

Cypress Weddings

In addition to that gorgeous engagement ring, amp up the bling by donning a diamond-accented wedding gown with lines so sleek, all eyes are on you. Keep your hair simple and chic, but tuck in a few sparkly hair pins. Don't forget to strut your stuff with diamond-studded sandals or deliciously retro shoe brooches.

For your Bridal Bouquet choose traditional blooms (carnations, roses, peonies in whites and ivory) add pearl pin accents or give your blooms a sparkling center with Swarovski-studded pins and picks. Don't forget to add a rhinestone-studded monogram to your bouquet wrap.

Have your bridesmaids carry posy bouquets of white and ivory carnations and roses.

Instead of using table numbers on reception tables, name each table after members of your favorite baseball team or if you want to add a vintage feel name them after players in the baseball "Hall of Fame". For the escort card table have cards made with a picture of the player on one side and on the other side put the guests name, "The Reggie Jackson" Table and Game Date (your wedding date).
