Party Resource Guide
Presented by Event & Wedding Planners
Throw a great kids
garden party with Ladybug Party Ideas! Our resource guide uses
Ladybug party supplies for invitations, decorating ideas, indoor
and outdoor garden games, plus easy crafts to keep the party
moving. We have the Ladybug party supplies to make your party a
sweet success!
Decorations:
Setting the table with ladybug
themed paper goods (plates, cups, napkins and tablecover) is the
fastest way to set the mood for your party.
Give kids a ladybug view of the
world. Begin with a big roll of green paper and cut deep zigzags
along one edge for grass. Tape it along one wall or around the
party area. Ask the kids to color flowers and ladybugs on the
grass before you tape it up.
Select several round
rocks from your garden, or purchase stones from a craft store.
Before the party, spray paint the rocks bright red, and allow
them to dry. As your guests begin to arrive, give each a rock
and a black permanent marker. Have the children add black spots
and faces to make ladybug decorations for the table. Write your
guests' initials on the bottom of their ladybugs so that they
can find their critters to take home at the end of the party.
Make giant flowers from colorful
crepe paper or tissue paper. Add huge paper leaves. Affix
flowers to the wall.
Use tin pails or
watering cans to hold flower arrangements. Add ladybug stickers
to leaves on flowers and also on pails or watering cans.
Make
balloon flowers to
hang around the room.
Activities:
-
Walk in the park with nature
center guide.
-
Make antennae and wings.
-
Play duck, duck, goose with
words "ladybug, ladybug, butterfly".
-
Make bug jars, using jelly
jars or clear plastic food containers with holes punched in
the lids. Add LadyBug Stickers. Personalize by writing a child's name on it. Fill
containers with favors.

Ladybug Food & Cake:
Ladybug Fruit Treats
- Cut a red apple in half, and cut out the core and seeds. Push
chocolate chips point-first into the apple's skin to make the
ladybug's spots. (Note: You may want to poke small starter holes
using the tip of a knife, making it easier to push in the
chocolate chips.) Serve each Ladybug on a leaf of romaine
lettuce.
Delight your little ones with this
cute-ladybug cake from Betty Crocker. All you need are cake,
frosting and a few cookies and candies
