Arrangements Christmas Tree Compote
and Delightful December Arrangements
CHRISTMAS TREE
COMPOTE
(top left)
A colorful traditional
arrangement that simulates a tree, using foliage and flowers associated
with the Christmas Season. Perfect on mantle or in the hallway.
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Tall thin stemmed compote (to simulate tree trunk)
taper candles
candle holders
florist clay
For artificial flowers use a 2"
x 3" x 4" plastic foam holder or a 1 lb. bar of Flower Clay. For
fresh flowers use a 3" pin holder.
FLOWERS NEEDED:
6 Poinsettias
1 spray large Holly Leaves (spray with gold paint)
4 bunches small Holly Leaves with berries
1 large branch Cedar foliage
SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE:
| LINE:
White Pine Spray, Arborvitae, Pin Oak, Juniper, Spruce, Hemlock. |
| FOCAL:
Antherium, Giant Amaryllis, Dogwood, Passion Flower, Hibiscus,
Yucca. |
| FILLER: Oregon
Grape, Mountain Laurel, Osmanthus, Mistletoe, Mountain Ash, Boxwood. |

INSTRUCTIONS |

Step 1: Anchor flower
holder in compote bowl with florist clay or tape adhesive |

 |
Step 2: In back center of holder
insert tallest portion of Cedar branch ( approx. 1 1/2 times compote
height). |

Step 3: Insert 2
shorter Cedar sprays in ends of holder, forming a triangle. Then fill in
triangle with more of the Cedar to obtain tree shape. |

Step 4: Place gold
Holly Leaves and small Holly bunches as shown. |

Step 5: Insert Poinsettias - 3
across bottom, 2 and then 1 as illustrated. |

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Low bowl
12 Christmas Tree Ornaments
candles
spade type candle holder
florist clay
For artifical flowers use a 2" x 3" x 4" plastic foam holder. For fresh flowers use a large oval or oblong pin holder.
FLOWERS NEEDED:
24 miniature Poinsettia blooms
1 spray Mistletoe
2 large sprays Frosted Pine Needles
1 spray green and White Pine Needles
4 clusters miniature Holly with berries
SUGGESTED ALTERNATE FLOWERS AND FOLIAGE:

| FOCAL: Azalea,
Carnation, Anemone, Mum |
| FILLER: Christmas
Candies, Glazed Fruit, Tiny Bells |

center of bowl and insert candle holders as shown. |

Step 2: Insert Frosted Pine
Sprays ( 1 & 2 ), establishing horizontal line. |

| Step 3: Cut Holly and Pine
Needle Sprays various lengths and arrange around periphery of bowl,
banking over holder. |

| Step 4: Cut Poinsettia Blooms
to various lengths, banking over center, following horizontal line. |

| Step 5: Fill-in with sprigs of
Mistletoe. Finish up by placing ornaments and candles as illustrated.
