Giant pillar candle nestled in snow rimed Pine sprays, brilliant Carnations and glittering Tree Ornaments
capture the real Christmas spirit for the holiday table or buffet. |
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Large bowl ( 10" - 12" diameter)
Tall pillar candle
7 Christmas Balls
Florist clay
For artificial flowers use a 2" x 3" x 4" plastic foam holder or a 1 lb. bar of Flower Clay. For fresh flowers use a 2" pin
holder & floral foam.
FLOWERS NEEDED:
6 giant Carnation sprays
2 sprays long frosted Pine Needles
1 spray Juniper
SUGGESTED ALTERNATE FLOWERS & FOLIAGE
| LINE:
Use sprays of Evergreen Needle foliage. Holly Leaves, etc. are also
good. Follow line of Candle. |
| FOCAL:
Fuji Mum, Camellia,
Chinese Aster, Peony, Astors, Cosmos. |
| FILLER:
Use foliage trimmed
off Focal Flowers to disguise any visible parts of the holder. |
INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Anchor flower holder securely in bottom of
bowl with florist clay or tape adhesive. |
Step 2: Screw wood skewer or heavy wire into base of
candle ( let extend to depth of flower holder). Cover bottom of candle
with tape adhesive. Then press into position on left-hand top side of
flower holder. |

Step 3: Place frosted Pine Branches in position. Use
Juniper Sprays at back of arrangement. |
Step 4: Insert Carnartions ( 1 through 4) in
positions indicated. Remaining 2 Carnations are inserted at the back at
the base of candle. |

Step 5: Put ornaments in positions shown. Use regular
hanging wires to secure them to Pine Branches or hook to scrap pieces of
stem and insert in same manner as flowers. |
