This is an simple solution for adding a character or design to a to a birthday cake, shower cake and etc..

Purchase a small foil balloon with a design that matches your party theme.

Cut the design from the balloon.

Bake a cake large enough for the design to fit onto.

Frost your cake.

Place a small amount of vegetable oil on the back side of the design (this will prevent the foil from sticking to the frosting).

Place foil design on the cake.
